DON’T HAVE A KINDLE? THEN CHECK OUT ALL THE KINDLE APPS FOR YOUR OTHER DEVICES.
One of the wonderful elements of the Amazon Kindle store is that there are now many apps to allow people with other common electronic devices to read any of the approximately 480,000 Kindle books available.
After testing out a few of the Kindle apps and speaking to several of their users, Vellum Publishing, Inc. is happy to report that using an app to read a Kindle book is a very satisfying experience. One convert in the company reads Kindle books on his iPhone regularly and is ecstatic about how this app has expanded his ability to use his iPhone. Riding the subway, on a lunch break, waiting in a line or during any spare time, he simply takes out his iPhone and does a little reading from his latest Kindle download. (He’s a thriller junkie!)
For anyone who hasn’t explored this avenue for reading and would like to try out a FREE app on his or her electronic device, here’s how:
- CLICK HERE FOR THE FREE KINDLE APP PAGE
- On the left hand side of the page, click on the Kindle app you would like and follow directions to download it FOR FREE.
- Then, anytime you wish, you can read a Kindle book! Here are the apps that are available: Kindle for iPad app, Kindle for iPhone app, Kindle for PC app, Kindle for Mac app, Kindle for Blackberry app…and more coming soon!
After trying out the Kindle for iPad app, exploring and reading, Vellum staffers were impressed. The Kindle for iPad app looks absolutely terrific on the iPad, maybe even better than the iBook app that comes with the iPad. Of course, there is a certain amount of glare, the iPad does become heavy to hold after a period of time and eyestrain was evident after extended reading on the iPad screen. The iPad is no Kindle but, all in all, if you want to have just one device, and the iPad is your choice, using the Kindle for iPad app is fine. Of course, once you have your free app, Vellum Publishing, Inc. hopes you will chose to read e-books from www.newkindlebooks.com where books are formatted for easier reading and guaranteed to be reasonably priced.
Happy reading from Vellum Publishing, Inc.
